Officials said a body was found inside a floating plastic bag in Lake Ontario in Toronto.
Toronto Fire Services said it was called today, Tuesday, shortly after seven o’clock to Queens Quay Terminal, located at Queens Quay West and York Street, after receiving a report from a person in the area who saw a black plastic bag in the water with a body protruding from it.
A police spokesperson said these reports were confirmed when Toronto Fire Services arrived at the scene.
Toronto Fire Services said the person found in the bag showed clear signs of death.
It was clarified that the Toronto marine police unit was brought in to recover the body.
The police said the investigation is still ongoing.
