The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates condemned the decision of the commander of the Israeli army's Central Command, to define the scope of three random settlement outposts in the occupied West Bank, in preparation for transforming them into independent, expandable settlements at the expense of Palestinian citizens' lands.
The Ministry stated, in a statement according to what was reported by the Palestinian News Agency "Wafa", today Thursday, that the implementation of these decisions by the occupation army is further evidence that the ruling Israeli coalition adopts settlement expansion and deepening as an anti-peace policy carried out by various arms of the occupying state, which is involved in it, and considers it government support for settler terrorism against Palestinian citizens, in a blatant and flagrant challenge to relevant United Nations resolutions, especially resolution 2334, and a continuous disregard for international positions demanding a halt to settlement as it systematically undermines the opportunity to apply the two-state solution principle.
The statement emphasized that the double standards in applying international law and the failure of the international community to implement international legitimacy decisions, along with countries being satisfied with some positions and formal statements that do not translate into real actions, measures, and pressures, all encourage the occupying state to persist and accelerate in reinforcing and deepening settlements at the expense of the land of the State of Palestine.
The Palestinian Ministry of Foreign Affairs held the international community responsible for the complex settlement crimes and the absence of international will to impose deterrent sanctions on the occupying state to force it to stop settlement.
