A 26-year-old man was killed late Thursday night after a shooting in the southeastern part of the Ottawa area. Emergency crews responded to a shooting call in the 4000 block of Farmer's Way, near Leitrim Road, at around 3:45 AM on Saturday.
Witnesses reported seeing gunfire in the area, according to Ottawa police.
In a press release, the police stated, "Officers found a 26-year-old man who had been shot and died from his injuries."
The police are asking anyone with information about the crime to contact the Ottawa police homicide unit at 613-236-1222, extension 5493, and report everything they know.
It is worth noting that this incident marks the tenth homicide in Ottawa in 2023.
