Union Station in downtown Toronto was closed after a shooting at York Street and Bremner Street, according to Toronto Police.

Police officers found a man who was shot and whose "life is threatened" today, Friday around 7:50 pm.

Paramedics are on scene and are attending to the patient at this moment, and Union Station is closed until further notice.

The police did not immediately respond to local media requests for further comment on the situation.

Meanwhile, TTC services stated that subway service between Osgoode and Wellesley stations has been suspended "due to response to a medical emergency."

Tram routes 510 and 509 that pass through Union Station were also affected.
