The "Beth Tikvah" Jewish synagogue in Montreal, Canada, was the target of a serious attack, where unknown individuals threw an incendiary object at the building, causing material damage without any injuries. The incident sparked a wave of anger and condemnation from local authorities, the Jewish community, and human rights organizations.

The Canadian police confirmed that an immediate investigation into the incident has been launched, classifying it as an act of anti-Semitism. Initial reports indicated that surveillance cameras in the area may have provided evidence to help identify the perpetrators.

For his part, Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau expressed his strong condemnation of the attack, affirming that "anti-Semitic acts are unacceptable in Canada and have no place in our communities." He called for accountability for those responsible for this heinous act and for them to be brought to justice.

Jewish organizations also condemned the incident, viewing it as a direct assault on the Jewish community and on the values of pluralism and freedom that characterize Canadian society. They called for enhanced security measures to protect places of worship in light of the rise in such incidents.

In an official statement, the City of Montreal said it is committed to working with the police and the community to ensure the safety of all citizens, emphasizing the importance of unity in the face of hate and extremism.

This attack comes at a time when fears are growing regarding the rise of hostility against religious and cultural minorities, reinforcing calls for stricter laws to combat hate crimes and ensure the security and safety of everyone.
