The White House spokesperson confirmed that the United States will respond "at a time of our choosing and in a manner of our choosing" to the recent wave of attacks that the United States claims were carried out by Iran-backed groups against American forces stationed in the Middle East.

This explicit warning from White House National Security Council spokesman John Kirby comes a day after U.S. President Joe Biden stated that Iran and Ayatollah Ali Khamenei received a direct warning that the United States would respond if Iran or its proxies continued to attack American forces.

Additionally, a U.S. warship announced yesterday that it intercepted several ballistic missiles fired by the Houthis towards Israel, noting that the range of those missiles is capable of reaching Tel Aviv.

Earlier, media reports stated that Houthi forces in Yemen are preparing to launch missile strikes against the American warship located in the Red Sea.
