The United Arab Emirates illuminated the Burj Khalifa in Dubai with the colors of the Libyan flag in solidarity with the Libyan people due to the floods that swept through the east of the country, causing significant human and material losses.

The Burj Khalifa account published a video on its official page on the social media platform (Facebook) on Tuesday/Wednesday evening, showing the tower with a message on its façade that says: "From the people of the Emirates to Libya and its brotherly people... Our hearts and minds are with you, may God protect Libya and its people."

The toll of victims from the floods caused by Hurricane "Daniel", which swept through eastern Libya over the past two days, is increasing, with local media reporting that more than 6,800 people have died while the number of missing persons is estimated to exceed 10,000 others.
