The Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization, Hussein Sheikh, confirmed that the Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas will not attend the meeting with the American President Joe Biden, who will arrive tomorrow to hold a quadripartite summit in Amman with the Jordanian King Abdullah and the Egyptian President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi.

Sheikh explained that the Palestinian President is on his way back to the West Bank after his meeting today, Tuesday, in Jordan with U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken.

The Palestinian President announced a general mourning period for three days and the lowering of flags, in honor of the martyrs of the Baptist Hospital massacre and all martyrs.

Israeli military aircraft targeted the Baptist Hospital in Gaza, where a large number of displaced people and patients were gathered, without any prior warning, and the bombing resulted in the martyrdom of more than 800 Palestinians.
