Despite the many popular festivals of various communities in Canada in general and the city of Mississauga, the stronghold of Arab communities in Canada, the Mar Charbel Festival remains a distinctive festival with a flavor and taste that no other festival can match.

The young Lebanese men and women lead the festival with a level of volunteering that I would not say compares to professionalism, but rather enhances their feeling that the festival guests are their guests and the guests of Mar Charbel.

Despite limited resources and the lack of reliance on singers and artists from the first or second tier, most of them are talented amateurs, they can attract thousands annually.

Although they are unable to book a place for large celebrations in Mississauga, which is located in the downtown area, and they have booked a park located on the border of Mississauga with Brampton, the attendance remains unaffected and everyone goes to enjoy what they offer.

Although the festival is called Mar Charbel, it attracts all Arab communities, both Muslim and Christian, as well as other non-Arab communities.

Despite the limited resources, the festival generates profits that constitute a significant source of funding for St. Charbel's Church in Mississauga annually.

This weekend, the Lebanese community held its sixth festival on Friday, July 19, yesterday, Saturday, July 20, and today, Sunday, July 21.

It is worth noting that the annual Lebanese festival is held at Totoredaca Dog Park at 2715 Meadowvale Blvd, Mississauga ON L5N 6P8.
