Toyota Motor Corporation has announced that it will recall 211,000 vehicles of the 2024-2023 Prius model in Japan, North America, Europe, and Asia due to an issue related to the electronic locks on the rear doors.
Bloomberg News reported today, Wednesday, that Toyota stated this issue could lead to water leakage inside the car or cause an electrical short in the lock circuit, meaning that the door may open while the vehicle is in motion.
The company added that 135,000 vehicles will be recalled in Japan and 55,000 vehicles in the United States.
