In a tweet, Jesse Aushel, Deputy Fire Chief in Greater Sudbury, stated that there was a large fire in a house on Cooper Street on Sunday morning.
Aushel said in a tweet on Twitter: "No injuries and everyone is fine." The fire was successfully extinguished.
Aushel told CTV News that the cause of the fire is unknown but it is not considered suspicious.
As for Copper Street, it is open to traffic. However, fire crews are still on site to complete their duties.
Aushel added in a message directed to residents: "Please remember to be fire safe during the Thanksgiving weekend."
