Reuters reported that Canada has imposed sanctions on titanium supplies from Russia, creating serious problems for Canadian Airbus factories and several other European airlines, and the issue was personally resolved by French President Macron, leading to pressure on Canada at all levels.
It pointed out that the high-level battle to maintain Russian titanium supplies highlights the difficulty Western countries face in pressuring Russia without harming their industries' supply chains, and in the West, there are fears that the dispute with Canada could exacerbate another problem for airlines that rely on the supply of strategic materials from Russia-friendly countries, which in turn could deal a blow to the West.
Reuters concluded that China has already announced it will control the export of certain sensitive aerospace and aviation components starting July 1.
