The fire teams in London managed to extinguish a fire and rescue a family dog late Tuesday night.
Multiple crews attended the scene at 35 Tennyson Street near Hamilton Road around 10 p.m.
According to a social media post, the dog "Parker" was given oxygen and monitored at the scene before being transported to a clinic after hours, and is conscious.
No news of other injuries has been reported. Ontario Fire Marshal was called to determine the cause of the fire, which caused about $600,000 in damage.
The crews evacuated the scene shortly after 12:30 a.m.
