American officials told the Wall Street Journal, "Saudi Arabia and the United States have agreed on the broad outlines of a normalization agreement between Saudi Arabia and Israel in exchange for the latter's agreement to make concessions to the Palestinians."

Officials estimated that such an agreement could be reached within nine to 12 months.

According to the report, Saudi Arabia will demand "significant concessions" from Israel regarding the Palestinian issue, but no details were included about the proposed concessions.

In the same context, Democratic U.S. senators emphasized that any agreement with Saudi Arabia must include significant gains for the Palestinians. Chris Van Hollen and Tim Kaine stated during an interview with the Israeli newspaper "Haaretz" that an agreement not including benefits for the Palestinians would face strong opposition within the party and may not receive Senate approval.

Hollen clarified that "long-term peace can only be achieved by addressing the critical issues on the Palestinian front."

Hollen and Kaine noted, "Other Democratic members of Congress share their position and have communicated clear messages regarding these demands to the White House."
