Air Canada announced today, Monday, that it has temporarily canceled its flights to Tel Aviv, calling the situation "evolving".
The airline wrote on its website: "We are closely monitoring this dynamic situation and will adjust these plans as necessary." "We are still in contact with the Canadian government. Air Canada will resume its operations to Tel Aviv as soon as the situation stabilizes."
Air Canada operates daily flights from Toronto to Tel Aviv, and it also operates flights to Tel Aviv from Montreal three times a week.
The Canadian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported that 1,419 Canadians are registered with Canadians Abroad in Israel and 492 Canadians in the Palestinian territories.
