Several years ago, I was invited to participate with a paper at the Interfaith Dialogue Conference held in the beautiful and hospitable Qatari capital, Doha. There, I met many thinkers and statesmen who are seeking the idea of convergence between different cultures and religions, to protect future generations from the dangers of conflict and collision. The title of my paper was "Practices of Using Electronic Media and Social Media in Confronting the Destabilization of Intellectual Security.
This paper received significant attention and coverage from local and international media, state institutions, and many representatives of the diplomatic corps in the State of Qatar, which made me realize the importance of this topic and its challenges more broadly for the world. It has since been proven that I was right, since the intellectual invasion carried out by some evil groups to achieve malicious goals is no longer hidden from anyone with insight!
Also, after these years and with increasing diverse challenges, I have reached one conclusion: future generations are facing an unprecedented cultural crisis and intellectual invasion that no longer requires contemplation and research but demands the mobilization of human energies to face the resulting huge risks, which we may not feel now but sense from time to time. We must confront the reality that it exists and is close, if not already a crazy reality that topples all inherited values.
Despite my acknowledgment that this matter has become frustrating and exhausting for me, it has also made me seriously search this topic, as I enjoy a professional background that helps me research deeply, along with possessing at least minimal media skills. These grant me the ability to read and analyze before delving deeply into something useless. I found that the importance of using positive social media, even complemented by transparency, is no less than its negative aspects, whether in the field of family communication, cultural work, professional work, marketing, commerce, business, or exchanging and developing experiences in various fields. Indeed, it has become the most important and interactive cornerstone as fundamental means of transmitting private and public events as soon as they occur.
This undoubtedly points to an important fact: the practice of using websites and social media has become an important and effective role either in enhancing or destabilizing intellectual security among societal groups, reflecting on them positive outcomes by accelerating integration, coexistence, and then creativity, or negatives that pirate their freedoms and privacy, facilitating their manipulation and exposing them to the risks of extortion by terrorism or deception and recruitment towards misguided and destructive ideas, thus hindering their intellectual and professional creativity in various economic, political, and social fields.
From here, we find an opportunity to enhance the investment of social media and use it to raise awareness among the beating heart of societies, the youth, about the risks of deviant ideas aiming to destabilize their intellectual security, and thereby diminish their reflection on the societies to which they belong. Consequently, this contributes to the process of societal building, leading to the prosperity and flourishing of the state instead of falling into the quagmire of destruction and extremism, which, in my estimation, state institutions highly prioritize combating.
Here, it must be noted that one cannot ignore that some practices in electronic forums and social media sites, which are among the most famous and influential means of deception for passing dubious information and ideas aimed at security downfall and trapping the victim in the swamps of terrorism, especially concerning sleeper cells. However, this does not mean that there are no creative practices that make them more effective than others in protecting intellectual security if used positively for the development of thought, awareness, and knowledge.

In general, in my estimation, this matter does not require bureaucratic support for groups lacking the minimum capacity to deal with its challenges, but it is of great importance and requires a dynamic vision and strategy to drive society to cooperate and engage in confronting it, especially amid the deviation of not a few youth cases as a result of highly complex life conditions and their falling into the quagmire of extremism and terrorism, which is a real problem that must be confronted early in the correct manner. This creates a need for in-depth study and open, transparent dialogue among different societal groups and official institutions, even through virtual communication platforms, which must draw systematic and realistic policies that touch upon the challenges facing society and take individuals out of anxiety, fear, and life pressures. Instead, openness with transparency through realistic visions and professional tools able to address the minds and hearts of people should replace reliance on fake openness as a method through profit-seeking, weak, and ideologically and behaviorally directed groups, and perhaps even more than that! This is to confront the truth and find possible solutions to the accumulating and escalating problems whose severity no one knows, which produce abnormal cases due to intersections of reckless and directed discourse, which apparently aims to recruit victims from the youth who lack moderate, strong, and trustworthy cultural and religious references, so that the human value in all its meanings becomes clear to them before drowning in the mire of loss and extremism.
Finally, in my estimation, the possibility of dialogue between different cultures to develop religious discourse and elevate it to the level of acceptance of different cultures by each other, especially after taking lessons and drawing conclusions from the consequences of the Corona pandemic and what will result in the future, which may negatively affect, requires full preparedness to create a continuous future dialogue case, working integrally to establish a situation of comprehensive societal peace and a sophisticated coexistence model at the political and human levels that rejects violence everywhere in the world.
