Fuel prices have risen by 19 cents since last week.
The Nova Scotia Utility and Review Board has been set to adjust fuel prices for the third time in a week, and these prices are expected to increase.
UARB based its decision on the province's provision on Monday, predicting a price change at midnight. Fuel prices have increased by 19 cents since last week.
CBC News network reporter Robert Jones, who makes fuel price forecasts for the network, said he expects a 10-cent increase per liter for gasoline and a 12-cent increase per liter for diesel.
On Monday, the minimum price for regular gasoline per liter ranged from 175.3 cents in the Halifax area to 177.2 cents in Cape Breton. The minimum price for diesel per liter ranged from 190.1 cents in the Halifax area to 192.1 cents in Cape Breton.
The cost of filling a gas tank in Nova Scotia reached record levels, as the Russian invasion of Ukraine increased pressure on oil prices.
UARB based its diesel-only provision on March 1, gasoline prices jumped 10 cents on Friday, then UARB resorted again to the province's provision on Saturday, leading to a nine-cent increase in gasoline and diesel prices.
