The state of emergency is for a strong Canada and the security of its citizens, nothing else!

We all witness the exceptional situation that the Canadian capital Ottawa is going through, especially regarding the complete paralysis of vital manifestations in the heart of downtown as a result of the ongoing protests, and we all also witness the great wisdom that has been issued by the official institutions to deal with the challenges of this situation until now.

Indeed, we all witness that we have surpassed many countries with our democracy and our broad-mindedness, which has recorded a pride for all, despite some socially and behaviorally rejected behaviors issued by some who adopt recklessness as a method in their lives.

Yes, Canada has recorded a high democratic approach, through registering the most wonderful images of national cohesion rejecting such methods that came from isolated individuals, outside the context of freedom of opinion and expression, and entered into the context of challenge and deliberate violation of the law.

Nevertheless, we have all witnessed the calm and legal movements and the rational dialogues, dealing with this serious crisis, which has become targeting Canadian national security, whether intentionally or unintentionally, which necessitated declaring a state of emergency for 30 days, renewable or can be canceled early according to developments on the ground and what necessity requires, because what is happening has become officially and socially unbearable, and it directly affects the stability, work, and livelihoods of citizens, and therefore it required strict and unprecedented legal decisions to contain this exceptional situation, fearing its shift from a peaceful state to a violent one that no one wishes or accepts, as it may lead to casualties and acts of sabotage, and the only loser in this case will be our great country Canada with all that it contains.

Also, it is clear that the matter is no longer just about the issue of vaccine mandates, but I fear it has gone far beyond that through insistence on continuing these protests, which started legitimately and have become illegal, and this matter itself raises questions about the reasons for this tension, rigidity, and lack of sufficient flexibility to end these protests. The most important of these is where these movements will go and for whose interest they continue in a way that affects many aspects of life and the country’s economic situation, especially at this very time when we all know there are huge economic challenges, and the significant losses resulting from these protests do not only affect individuals but also negatively impact the national security of the country, in addition to regional and international security challenges that require a state of stability, focus, and full institutional efforts and energies, especially as we have not yet emerged from the challenges of the Corona pandemic, all in order to protect our country that we love and that inhabits all our hearts, and it is unimaginable that any of us would not care about its national security against any targeting whatsoever, regardless of its type, size, or impact.

Therefore, what I see today is an extremely complicated state of confusion that does not need this kind of tension, and unfortunately, this has not happened until now, nor has there been any rush in any decision, but it certainly needed measured and effective steps that are controlled, limited, and very cautious to contain this crazy and unprecedented protest movement with reason and logic, to close the door on anyone who dares to exploit these protests and tamper with the country’s security in the dark.

Canada today needs all the energies of its sons, their cohesion, and serious work to overcome trivialities, focusing only on how to elevate and build it to make it a constantly renewed modern state, and therefore there must be extreme caution against slipping into dangerous slopes, especially from some individuals participating in such protests who do not know their duties first or raise the flags of their motherlands without occasion and without any need for that, only to cause confusion and to drag identities into a problem that is totally unnecessary and unrelated to such ignorant or rather deviant behaviors.

Canada today faces a great challenge, and it undoubtedly needs all its sincere sons who value the importance of solidarity and standing united strongly to support all legal steps taken by the institutions of the rule of law and its bodies working day and night to protect the country and its citizens from all the challenges facing it.

Therefore, I hope there will be a deep, genuine, and logical intellectual integration to make the slogan of this phase solidarity and cooperation, working to keep Canada great, healthy, and at its best at all times, to remain the destination of millions of people who come out of love and passion for it, for what they hear about Canada, its people, their good dealings, and what it enjoys in terms of security, safety, and peace.

Therefore, everyone must realize that there is a need for all its sons to work under its unified flag for its elevation, welfare, and prosperity so that it remains proud and they proudly raise their heads as its citizens.

I also hope that the announced state of emergency is a temporary and short-term exceptional case for a fundamental base aiming to maintain that Canada remains strong, ensure the security of its citizens, work to restore national cohesion, open a serious and broad dialogue among everyone, and end all manifestations of what is rejected or affects the country’s economic and social stability, so that such unprecedented challenges can be overcome in the future, ensuring that everyone participates responsibly under the law and under the country’s umbrella and with absolute faith in the importance of preserving Canada’s national identity as a country, people, and official institutions.
