Britain's Queen, Queen Elizabeth II, met Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau today, Monday, in front of a large bouquet of flowers in blue and yellow, the colors of the Ukrainian flag.

This meeting represents the first direct engagement the Queen has had since her COVID-19 diagnosis on February 20.

Meanwhile, Buckingham Palace refrained from commenting on the scene of the bouquet, but royal family followers say that the Queen and her family leave little to chance when appearing in public places.

Trudeau arrived in the United Kingdom to hold talks about the Ukrainian war with Prime Minister Boris Johnson and their Dutch counterpart, Mark Rutte.

Elizabeth, who also holds the title Queen of Canada, has visited the North American country more than 20 times.

The Queen met Trudeau at Windsor Castle, where she has been residing since the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic.

The two parties have known each other for some time, as Trudeau (50 years old) met the Queen several times when he was a child, since his father Pierre Elliott Trudeau was one of Canada’s longest-serving Prime Ministers.

Trudeau said he has had the honor of knowing the Queen for about forty-five years, adding: "I can tell you that during my talk with her this morning, her insight window was bright as always."

The palace’s announcement on February 20 of Elizabeth's coronavirus infection raised concerns about the health of the 95-year-old Queen.

The palace had refrained from providing daily clarification on the Queen’s health, pointing to her right to privacy.

However, palace officials said Elizabeth received the full vaccine dose as well as the booster dose.
