The police are searching for three men that they say are connected to the theft of luxury watches and cash worth over a million dollars from an apartment in downtown Toronto last week.
The police stated in a press release issued today, Wednesday, that officers responded to a break-in call on September 14 at a residential building in the area of Bay and Adelaide Streets in the city's financial district.
Investigators say that one of the suspects broke into a residential unit and took "a quantity of exclusive watches" along with cash totaling more than a million dollars.
The police said that the brands of the stolen watches include Rolex, Patek Philippe, and Audemars Piguet.
After leaving the building, the suspect was said to have walked east on Adelaide Street and was seen entering a white Honda Civic model from 2013 to 2015 with two other suspects.
According to the police, at that point, one of the suspects got out of the Honda Civic. The Civic driver then stopped next to a black Chrysler, and the suspects in both vehicles were seen talking to each other before fleeing the scene.
The police released surveillance photos of the three suspects and the suspicious vehicles in an effort to identify them, and investigators provided detailed descriptions of each suspect.
The police are asking anyone with information about the theft to contact investigators at 416-808-5200 or Crime Stoppers anonymously.
