Partial halt of the O-Train from July 15 to 28.. Here’s what you need to know

The O-Train will be partially closed in the western part of the line for two weeks as part of scheduled maintenance.

OC Transpo says that the Confederation Line will not operate between Tunney's Pasture and Rideau stations from Monday, July 15, to Sunday, July 28. The O-Train will continue to operate normally between Blair and uOttawa stations.

Here’s what you need to know about the planned O-Train shutdown.

The O-Train will be closed in both directions between Tunney's Pasture and Rideau stations from July 15 to July 28.

OC Transpo states that the Rideau Transit Group will conduct annual maintenance on the line during the two-week closure.

Troy Charter, Director of Transit Services and Rail Operations, said, "All rail systems require periodic and temporary closures and partial shutdowns. Not all maintenance work can be done in the short engineering hours available when the trains are not operating." Transit Commission in June.

For the upcoming summer schedule and maintenance work, the main reason for this work is to enhance corrective measures as well as address identified deficiencies.
