Paramedics in Ottawa say that one attendee at the Escapade music festival died from an overdose.
Paramedic spokesperson Marc Antoine Deschamps told CTV News that paramedics in Ottawa were at the music festival over the weekend for all three days and treated 16 people for a variety of issues, including four people with critical overdoses.
Deschamps said he does not know the age and gender of the person who died.
The electronic music festival marked the start of the summer festival season in the capital as COVID-19 restrictions have largely been lifted.
Escapade was held last year but required all attendees to show proof of vaccination.
