It was another outdoor Thanksgiving for the Ottawa mission this year, where hundreds lined up for a hot meal, including John O'Hara who said he is grateful today for the mission and all they do to help the community. This year’s Thanksgiving saw food prices rise significantly, meaning fewer people can afford to buy or cook food. Peter Tilly, CEO of Ottawa Mission, says: "The requests were more than we have ever seen, as the lines were huge this morning around the building when I arrived even before opening. I am proud that we distributed more than 13,000 meals to everyone in need, especially given the tough economic conditions and inflation."
