The Canadian Ministry of Environment issued about a snowstorm in Ottawa on the night of Friday, February 3.
The Weather Agency said in a statement, "Heavy snowfall is expected."
Explaining that under the expected snowstorm conditions, visibility will significantly decrease due to the heavy snow.
The Canadian Ministry of Environment also said that monitoring of the snowstorm began Thursday afternoon and will continue until the evening.
During that time, Ottawa is expected to receive 2 to 5 cm of snow.
The Canadian Ministry of Environment said: "A short but intense snowstorm, associated with a fast-moving cold front from the Arctic, will push southeast across southern Ontario this afternoon."
Explaining, "Heavy snow will be accompanied by stormy northwest winds leading to a noticeable reduction in visibility."
The expected snowstorm is at the top of a bitter cold warning issued by the Canadian Environmental Agency for the capital.
According to the Weather Agency, the temperature will drop tonight to -29 degrees Celsius, and with the wind to -40 degrees Celsius.
The weather is also expected to be colder tomorrow, Friday, February 3, with high expectations that the temperature will reach -26 degrees Celsius and with the wind will be -42.
