A few days after a heavy snowfall in southern Ontario, another snowfall is expected to hit the province by the end of this week.

Environment Canada has issued a winter weather warning for Toronto and across most of the southern part of the province.

Total snowfall accumulation is expected to range between 10 and 15 cm, according to the National Weather Agency.

Snowfall is scheduled to begin on Saturday night and continue until Sunday afternoon.

The Canadian Ministry of Environment states that this prolonged snowfall is due to low atmospheric pressure tracking south of the region.

The Meteorological Agency also states that if the snow falls heavily or exceeds 15 cm in 12 hours, a snowfall warning may be necessary.

The Canadian Ministry of Environment warns drivers to expect hazardous conditions and urges increased caution with expected icy roads that may lead to slips..
