Chris Boucher's interview from the Toronto Raptors team was a once-in-a-lifetime experience for young basketball fans in Ottawa.

13-year-old Adriana Narciso said, "I was very excited to attend and meet Chris Boucher, and I watched all his games."

Boucher, who grew up in Montreal, hosted a summer camp at the University of Ottawa this weekend, attracting hundreds of children of all ages.

"I want them to be happy, to enjoy the moment, and to focus on improving," said the forward/center, who recently re-signed with the Raptors for a new deal.

He said, "They truly made me the player I am now." "They gave me the morale needed to be a special person, and I just want to give back everything I can now as a thank you."

This experience was a confidence booster for 11-year-old Tatum Daniel.

She said, "There were some tough drills but overall it was fun."

Her father Daniel said, "My daughter has never done camps before, so we weren’t sure what to expect, but so far we have been pleasantly surprised."

Camp director Jerome Smith said, "You will notice a lot of kids from different skill levels." "Of course, they are excited to see Chris Boucher, they are also gaining a lot of valuable experiences that they can translate into their skills."
