Why did the latest celebration of Canadian national team top scorer Jonathan David cause a wide controversy?

Jonathan David celebrated, the top scorer during Canada's 2-0 victory over Qatar, with his goal by hiding the logo of the manufacturer of the Canadian national team's shirts.

A gesture that seems to reflect the fact that Canada is the only World Cup qualifying country that will not wear a shirt bearing the name of a company sponsoring its outfits.

It seems that Jonathan David, the top scorer of the Canadian national team and the French club Lille, reflects his country's intention to end the deal with Nike.
