A commercial vehicle driver near Hearst faces charges after road signs and a convoy trailer were damaged on Wednesday morning. The Ontario Provincial Police responded to the call on Highway 11 and found evidence of the damage caused by the accident.
The police said, "The vehicle was carrying an unsafe load which led to the collision with several highway signs as well as a large-sized trailer."
The driver was charged with transporting an unsafe load, reckless driving, and failing to report damage to property on the highway.
The police reminded drivers that driving with an unsafe load is extremely dangerous and that in this incident, we were very lucky no human injuries occurred."
