A chance of rain and thunderstorms in the forecast for Friday may disrupt the fireworks on Canada Day, but the weather will improve after Friday.

Friday's forecast indicates the possibility of thunderstorms in the afternoon and evening. Jean Taylor, a meteorology expert, said, "The storms, especially in the evening, could be severe."

He added, "Some of these evening storms may bring very strong winds." "Friday night is supposed to be dedicated to watching the fireworks, but things might get mixed up due to bad weather. We might have some natural fireworks due to thunder we have to deal with."

The storms will bring humidity with a possible high temperature of 29 degrees Celsius expected on Friday, but it will feel more like 35 degrees Celsius.

Once the storms end on Friday, the weekend will be beautiful. Saturday will mainly see sunshine and a high temperature of 27 degrees Celsius with a slightly lower low of 18 degrees Celsius.

Sunshine will continue on Sunday, with a low in the morning of 15 degrees Celsius, but the temperature will reach 25 degrees Celsius for the rest of the day.

The official fireworks display in Toronto is scheduled to take place at Ashbridges Bay Park for the first time in two years following the COVID-19 pandemic.

The city's fireworks show in the park will begin at 10 p.m. on Friday and is expected to attract large crowds.
