The police in Barrie, Ontario, continue to investigate a crash that resulted in the death of six young people over the weekend.
The police say the investigation into the "tragic event" will take time.
On Monday evening, the police took family members to the edge of a large concrete pit in the construction area where the accident occurred to throw flowers into it.
The city of Barrie says the intersection has been closed since spring, and the area is currently the site of a municipal construction project.
The city confirmed that the accident took place at an active construction site in Barrie.
The police identified the missing persons as follows:
- Curtis King, 22 years old
- River Wells, 23 years old
- Jason O'Connor, 22 years old
- Luke West, 22 years old
- Jersey Mitchell, 20 years old
- Hailey Marin, 21 years old.
