Today, Benjamin Dichter, James Bauder, and Tamara Lich are giving their testimonies.

Based on an investigation conducted by the Emergencies Act, the millions of dollars collected by the "Freedom Convoy" were either returned to the donors or are still held in court - but thousands of dollars went to the convoy protesters through a cryptocurrency campaign and envelopes of cash.

The Public Order Emergency Commission listened this morning to evidence about the protest donations made through electronic transfers, cryptocurrencies, and fundraising platforms such as GiveSendGo and GoFundMe.

Although millions of dollars were raised to support their cause through crowdfunding sites, court orders prevented convoy organizers from accessing most of these funds.

However, a public report compiled by the Public Order Emergency Commission stated that starting from January 27, a man from Ottawa - Nicholas Saint Louis - was able to raise about 1.2 million dollars in cryptocurrency for convoy protesters through Tallycoin, a crowdfunding platform that allows individuals to donate small amounts of Bitcoin without any fees.

The commission reviewed the circumstances that led the federal government to protest with the Emergencies Act to suppress crowds and vehicles that closed Ottawa’s streets for weeks last winter.
