The Israeli occupation forces continued, early Monday morning, to bomb several areas in the Gaza Strip, especially Khan Yunis, resulting in the martyrdom of a number of citizens and injuries to dozens.
It is noted that the occupation aircraft carried out 25 airstrikes on the city of Khan Yunis in the southern Gaza Strip in recent hours.
The occupation artillery also shelled east of the al-Bureij and al-Maghazi camps in the central Gaza Strip.
Palestinian media reported intermittent clashes amid ongoing artillery shelling east of the al-Bureij and al-Maghazi camps in the central Gaza Strip.
On the 87th day of the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip, the Israeli air and artillery bombardment continued targeting the central area of the Gaza Strip and the vicinity of Abu Dawood Mosque in Camp 2 in Al-Nuseirat, while artillery shelling continued around the areas of Jabalia Al-Balad in the northern Gaza Strip and the Al-Tuffah neighborhood east of Gaza City.
East and north of Khan Yunis witnessed artillery shelling on various parts of the city, where a citizen was martyred and others injured in shelling on the Abu Hatab family house near Bilal Mosque west of Khan Yunis.
A martyr also fell due to an Israeli shelling targeting the Qaisan Rashwan neighborhood and other areas to the southeast and center of the city.
Meanwhile, violent explosions shook the central area of the Gaza Strip amid intensive shelling by aircraft and artillery.
Medical sources had reported late last night the martyrdom of a number of citizens and injuries to others, after the occupation warplanes shelled a group of citizens near Dawar Dawla in the Al-Zaytoun neighborhood east of Gaza.
A number of citizens, mostly children, were also injured after an occupation drone targeted a house in Al-Maghazi camp in the central Gaza Strip, while several injuries arrived at Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital as a result of the occupation forces targeting houses in Al-Nuseirat camp.
The Israeli occupation continues its aggression on the Gaza Strip for the 87th day, resulting in the martyrdom of 21,822 citizens and injury of 56,451 others, most of them children and women, in addition to thousands missing, in a non-final tally.
On the other hand, Cori Bush, the American Democratic congresswoman representing Missouri, posed a question to the administration of President Joe Biden about how many innocent people must die before Washington demands a ceasefire (in Gaza).
Bush tweeted on her account on the X platform: "The White House cannot do two contradictory things: call on the Israeli government to respect international law, then bypass Congress to send weapons that lead to violations of international law."
She added, questioning in her tweet: "How many innocents must die before Biden calls for a ceasefire?"
Bush joined a number of Democrats who criticize the Biden administration for bypassing Congress in sending weapons to Israel.
