Oil prices fell by more than one percent today, continuing their decline for the third consecutive day amid rising crude oil inventories and production in the United States.
Brent crude futures for July fell by 95 cents to $85.38 per barrel..
West Texas Intermediate crude futures for June also dropped by $1.16 to $80.77 per barrel.. Both benchmark crude oils declined by more than one percent.
The Energy Information Administration reported yesterday that U.S. production rose to 13.15 million barrels per day in February from 12.58 million barrels per day in January, marking the largest monthly increase in nearly three and a half years.
