The Canadian-Moroccan artist Omar Kmaui is exhibiting his works from mid-January until March 20 at the cultural center in a neighborhood north of Montreal.

Kmaui chose "Evolution" as the title for his exhibition which includes 20 artworks. According to his environmental convictions, the artist created works from recycled materials, some of which are interactive.

Omar Kmaui was born on February 19, 1974, in Casablanca, Morocco, where he grew up and studied.

After studying at the High School of Fine Arts, he continued his training at the Superior School of Fine Arts in Casablanca, where he obtained a diploma in fine arts in 2001. His thirst to expand his artistic horizons led him to migrate to Canada.

His primary interest has always been the environment, which prompted him to create an artistic movement, (Récupéraction), which gathers artists who share the same philosophy.

He has participated in many events related to this cause in Canada and internationally.
