The American “Washington Post” newspaper mentioned that the attacker who killed 19 children in an elementary school in Texas suffered from bullying in high school, on social media, and while playing video games due to speech problems and his accent. He also left his mother's house because of her drug use.

American authorities explained that the number of deaths from a shooting at a school in Texas reached 19 children and two adults, and the gunman, who shot the students, also died.

The governor of Texas, Greg Abbott, announced the identity of the attacker, named Salvador Ramos, and said he is a resident of Uvalde, the city about 135 kilometers west of San Antonio.

This attack plunges the United States once again into the tragedies of shootings in educational settings, accompanied by horrifying scenes of students under shock, with security forces evacuating them and terrified parents asking about their children.

The shooting incident that resulted in the largest number of deaths inside a school in recent years dates back to 2018, when 17 people were killed by a former student who opened fire at a high school in Parkland, Florida.

The United States experiences nearly daily shootings in public places, and major cities such as New York, Chicago, Miami, and San Francisco record a rise in crime rates involving firearms, especially since the start of the pandemic in 2020.
