The Canadian Ministry of Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship announced that the number of accumulated immigration applications has exceeded two million requests.

The ministry said in a statement today, Monday, that the number of accumulated immigration applications reached more than 2 million requests in April compared to 1.8 million requests in March.
The statement indicated that the applications of permanent residents who are about to obtain Canadian citizenship and have not been processed reached 530,000 people in April compared to 519,000 people in March.

The Canadian news network (CBC) confirmed that Canada remains one of the best destinations for immigrants worldwide, but the backlog of applications, exhausting processing times, and lack of communication and transparency cause increasing frustrations among those seeking to achieve their Canadian dream.
