21 people were killed and five injured in a road accident in northern Abidjan, according to military rescue personnel in Ivory Coast.
According to rescue teams, the final toll of the incident between a freight truck and a minibus was "26 victims including 21 dead."
Fire brigade commander General Issa Sako had earlier called in a statement to AFP to "exercise caution" during the current rainy season and the long holiday season in Ivory Coast.
A similar accident last year resulted in 25 deaths and 31 injuries after two minibuses collided in northern Abidjan.
