Since the "Friends" star was found dead in his home in Los Angeles, according to coroner records, there has been a significant outpouring of heartfelt words from former colleagues and friends of Matthew Perry after his death on October 28.

Since the news broke, many have turned to social media to share kind words.

Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, who attended school with Perry in Ottawa, expressed his shock and sadness at Perry's passing.

Trudeau wrote on X, "I will never forget the games we played in the schoolyard, and I know people around the world will never forget the joy he brought them. Thank you for all the laughs, Matthew. You were loved, and we will miss you."

Tom Green, the Canadian-American comedian born in Ottawa, also paid tribute to Perry on social media X, describing him as a "success story" for Ottawa.

The Ottawa Senators hockey organization shared a video of Perry attending one of their games, stating that they "felt saddened to learn of the passing of Matthew Perry, one of Ottawa's proudest and biggest hockey fans."

The National Hockey League Alumni X shared several photos of the actor, writing, "Rest in peace, Matthew Perry, you will forever be a part of hockey history and our hearts."

Television presenter and journalist Piers Morgan also took to Twitter to share words about Perry's death.

He said, “Rest in peace, Matthew Perry, 54 years old. The Friends star was a great actor, but in his own admission, he was a deeply troubled man; his recent autobiography about a life ruined by addiction was one of the most powerful, honest, and revealing I have ever read, 'this is sad news.'”

Actress Maggie Wheeler, who played Perry's girlfriend on Friends, took to Instagram to write, “What a loss, the joy you brought to so many in your all too brief life will go on. I feel so lucky for every creative moment we shared.”

Lisa Ann Walter, an actress who once worked with Perry on The Odd Couple, also shared a touching memory.

She wrote on X, "In The Whole Nine Yards - Matthew Perry runs full speed toward the patio door, and the scene that follows is one of the best comedic moments I've ever seen. I told him that when he reprised it on The Odd Couple. He smiled so much that I thought he would break his face. 'It was beautiful.'

Professional wrestler Mick Foley wrote on X, "My heart is with Perry's family, friends, and fans. I’m truly sorry to hear the news of actor Matthew Perry's passing. I’m a huge fan of #Friends (I wore a Friends shirt the last two days) and Perry's character Chandler Bing is the character I most identify with."

Actress Octavia Spencer posted a photo of Perry on Instagram, feeling deeply saddened to hear the news of his death on Saturday.

She said, "We will forever remember his gift to the world, sending love to Matthew's family, friends, co-stars, and millions of fans around the globe."
