Japanese stock indices declined in the morning trading session.

Japanese stock indices fell in the morning trading session at the Tokyo Stock Exchange today, Monday.

The Nikkei index, which is made up of 225 stocks, lost 409.36 points, or 1.04%, reaching 39114.19 points in the morning session at 11:30 AM local time (02:30 GMT).

The broader Topix index also dropped 13.95 points, or 0.51%, to reach 2745.45 points.
