Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said on Thursday that Israel will continue its attack on Hamas despite increasing international pressure, including in the city of Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip.
The Israeli Prime Minister stated, "There is increasing international pressure, but when international pressure increases specifically, we must unite the ranks, we need to stand together against attempts to stop the war."
He added that the army will carry out counter operations against Hamas throughout the sector "including in Rafah, the last stronghold of Hamas."
He continued, "Whoever orders us not to move in Rafah is ordering us to lose the war, and that will not happen."
International warning
UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres warned that an Israeli attack on Rafah would deal a knockout blow to aid programs in Gaza, where humanitarian aid remains "completely insufficient."
