The Israeli newspaper "Calcalist" revealed, quoting a senior source in the Israeli occupation army, that the Yemeni drone attack "Yafo" on Tel Aviv is considered as significant as October 7 for Israeli air defense systems.

The Israeli newspaper stated, citing the same source, that the success of the Houthis in launching a bomb-laden drone that covers a distance of over two thousand kilometers and reaches deep into the country is a resounding failure for air defense systems, and it signals the end of the "clear skies" era, referring to the layers of air defense systems that protect Israel, according to the news site "Al Jazeera.net".

The military source described by the newspaper as "senior" added that this development puts an end to the qualitative superiority of the Israeli Air Force due to the inability of early warning systems to detect the drone, and that there is a gap in intelligence information to alert in advance about attacks.

The source also mentioned that the attack reveals a gap in coordination with American forces in the Red Sea, which were supposed to inform Israel in case of spotting any suspicious object.

In the same context, the official broadcasting authority and Israeli channels reported that Defense Minister Yoav Gallant conducted a situation assessment with Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi following the explosion of the drone in the heart of Tel Aviv, stating at the end that there are field and intelligence activities against the shooters and their senders in their own backyard, according to his expression.

An Israeli was killed early on Friday and 10 others were lightly injured following the explosion of a bomb-laden drone that occurred at precisely 3:15 AM at the intersection of Shalom Aleichem Street and Ben Yehuda in Tel Aviv, just hundreds of meters from the U.S. Embassy.

The Israeli occupation army has opened an investigation to determine the reason for not intercepting the drone, which was launched by the Houthis towards Tel Aviv, and a military official stated that "the matter is under deep investigation."

Israeli estimates indicated that the drone "Yafo" traveled about two thousand kilometers and took new routes to mislead the monitoring systems of the Israeli occupation army.
