Israel releases 300 Palestinian prisoners as part of the truce agreement with Hamas

The Israeli occupation army and Hamas movement, through "Egypt, Qatar, and the United States of America," agreed to implement a ceasefire in Gaza, in exchange for the release of prisoners from both sides.

The ceasefire agreement between the Palestinian resistance in Hamas and the Israeli occupation stipulated 4 days only, during which 150 Palestinian prisoners will be released in exchange for 50 Israeli prisoners held by the Al-Qassam Brigades.

Hamas movement issued a statement this Wednesday morning saying: We have reached a humanitarian ceasefire agreement, and a temporary ceasefire for 4 days, with efforts by Egypt and Qatar.

Time for prisoner exchange between the Palestinian resistance and the Israeli occupation army

The Qatari Foreign Ministry stated: the timing for the start of the ceasefire between Hamas and Israel and the release of prisoners from both sides will be announced within 24 hours, and the ceasefire agreement will last for 4 days, extendable.

The Israeli occupation army announced today, Wednesday, a list of names of 300 Palestinian prisoners it holds, who can be released during the ceasefire agreement it made with Hamas movement.

Israel will release 150 Palestinian prisoners in exchange for 50 Israeli hostages held by Hamas during the ceasefire agreement, and the vast majority of the prisoners are males, aged 18 years or younger, numbering 287 out of 300 prisoners, with the remaining 13 being women.

The Palestinian male prisoners were detained due to riots and throwing stones in the West Bank or East Jerusalem, while the women were accused by the occupation army of attempted terrorist stabbings.

The Prisoners and Released Affairs Authority said that the Israeli list of Palestinian prisoners' names according to the ceasefire agreement included female prisoners who spent many years in the occupation's prisons.

Meanwhile, an official source confirmed to "Cairo News" channel that the humanitarian ceasefire in the Gaza Strip includes the entry of a large number of humanitarian convoys, aid, and fuel to all areas of the strip.
