The Secretary-General of the Gulf Cooperation Council, Jassim Mohammed Al-Budaiwi, condemned the brutal and savage Israeli attack on the Al-Nuseirat camp in Gaza, which resulted in the martyrdom and injury of hundreds of unarmed Palestinian civilians.

He stated in a statement published on the official website of the Council on Sunday morning that "this attack is a heinous and terrorist crime targeting defenseless innocents with unprecedented brutality," affirming that "this barbaric aggression reflects the true face of the Israeli occupation forces and proves its complete contempt for all international charters and human values."

He pointed out that this horrific crime comes as part of a series of systematic assaults carried out by the Israeli occupation forces against the Palestinians, calling on the international community to bear its historical and moral responsibilities and to take immediate and decisive action to stop these recurring and horrific crimes against the dear Palestinian people.

He confirmed that the Gulf Cooperation Council countries stand united and firmly with the Palestinian people in their legitimate struggle for freedom and peaceful living, reiterating their consistent positions regarding the Palestinian issue and their support for the establishment of an independent Palestinian state on the borders of June 4, 1967, with East Jerusalem as its capital, in accordance with the Arab Peace Initiative and international legitimacy resolutions.

Yesterday, Saturday, the Arab Republic of Egypt strongly condemned the Israeli assaults on the Al-Nuseirat camp in the central Gaza Strip, which resulted in the martyrdom of more than 150 Palestinian civilians, and the injury of hundreds, in a flagrant violation of all provisions of international law and international humanitarian law, and all human values and human rights.

The Arab Republic of Egypt held Israel legally and morally responsible for this brazen assault, demanding its compliance with its obligations as an occupying power, and to stop the random targeting of Palestinian civilians, including the areas they have been displaced to, and the indiscriminate destruction of all infrastructure services in the sector.

Egypt called upon the influential international parties and the Security Council for the necessity of immediate intervention to stop the Israeli war against the Gaza Strip, and to take responsible action to end this humanitarian crisis, which has claimed the lives of over 36,000 martyrs, emphasizing the necessity of reaching a ceasefire throughout the Gaza Strip and the full and unhindered entry of humanitarian and relief assistance through all land crossings of the sector.
