The Palestinian Red Crescent Society said today, Tuesday, that all medical points and emergency clinics affiliated with the society in the Gaza Governorate are out of service.

It clarified in a statement, reported by the Palestinian news agency "Wafa", that the shutdown of its facilities was due to the occupation's forced evacuation procedures in various areas of the governorate, where the medical points and clinics are located.

It is noteworthy that only 15 out of 36 hospitals in the Gaza Strip are operational, and all of them are operating partially, facing severe shortages in staff and medical supplies, including anesthesia and antibiotics, making healthcare workers struggle to save lives.

About 500 personnel in the health sector have been martyred, hundreds have been injured, and Israeli occupation forces have arrested more than 310 others, and destroyed 130 ambulances, during their ongoing aggression on the Gaza Strip for 9 months.

The World Health Organization warned that the volume of medical supplies coming into Gaza is insufficient to sustain the health response, and all medical evacuations outside Gaza are still halted.

Despite the assurances from international humanitarian and rights organizations that targeting hospitals and the health system is a clear violation of the principles and standards of international humanitarian law and the Fourth Geneva Convention, which provides special protection for hospitals and health centers during armed conflicts and wars, and that targeting them constitutes a crime against humanity and amounts to a war crime, the occupation continues to target hospitals and health infrastructure in the Gaza Strip, disregarding all international and humanitarian laws.
