The Cairo News Channel reported, in an urgent news item citing Israeli media, that "there are estimates that the military operation in the Palestinian city of Rafah will conclude in about two weeks."
Hebrew sources revealed discussions within the Israeli occupation forces to end the fighting in Rafah in the southern Gaza Strip, as a prelude to shifting to the occupied northern front with southern Lebanon.
According to the military correspondent for Channel 12, the occupation recommends accelerating the conclusion of the military operation it is conducting in the Rafah area in southern Gaza, in preparation for a broader operation in Lebanon, amid the escalation seen in border confrontations, coinciding with the war on the Strip.
The Israeli Broadcasting Authority Kan 11 reported a senior political official as saying that "calls are growing to shift the center of gravity" of military operations within the framework of the devastating war that Israel has been waging since October 7, "from south to north," indicating a shift towards military escalation against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
