According to a statement from the Algerian presidency on Saturday, September 09, 2023, Algeria has shown its full readiness to provide humanitarian aid and to allocate all material and human resources, in solidarity with the Moroccan people.
Opening Algeria's airspace will allow for the transport of humanitarian aid, the injured, and the affected individuals to and from the disaster-stricken areas, as clarified in the statement.
A statement from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs also indicated that Algeria extends its condolences to the families of the earthquake victims in Morocco, emphasizing that Algeria "follows with great sorrow and grief the repercussions of the violent earthquake that affected several areas in the Kingdom of Morocco."
