Qatar mediates negotiations between Israel and Hamas for the possible release of 10-15 hostages in exchange for a ceasefire in Gaza for a day or two, according to AFP, citing a source familiar with the talks.
This comes as the Israeli war on the Palestinian people in the Gaza Strip enters its second month, which has resulted in the death of nearly 11,000 Palestinian martyrs since the October 7 attack until now.
The number of deaths among the Israeli army has risen to 33 since the start of the ground incursion operation in the Gaza Strip, as of Wednesday morning.
In Tokyo, the Japanese Foreign Minister said that the G7 members agreed to support a temporary truce and a humanitarian corridor to facilitate the entry of aid into Gaza.
