The management team of Celine Dion and her record company, Sony, expressed their objection to the use of her award-winning song "My Heart Will Go On" at a rally for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance.

"Today, the management team of Celine Dion and her record company, Sony Music Entertainment Canada, learned of the unauthorized use of the video, recording, musical performance, and image of Celine Dion singing 'My Heart Will Go On' at a rally for Donald Trump and J.D. Vance in Montana," according to a post on Celine Dion's social media accounts. "Under no circumstances is this usage allowed, and Celine Dion does not endorse this use or any similar use. ... Really, that song?"

Former President Trump has faced sharp criticism from other artists after using their songs at campaign rallies, including R.E.M., Tom Petty, and Aerosmith.

At the rally held in Montana on Friday evening, a video showed Dion singing the hit song written by James Horner in 1997 with lyrics by Will Jennings, which was released with the Oscar-winning film Titanic.

The song won the Academy Award for Best Original Song along with a Golden Globe and four Grammy Awards.

Dion dramatically appeared at the opening ceremony of the Olympic Games in Paris last month, where she performed "Hymne A L'Amour" by Édith Piaf after months of treatment for the debilitating syndrome of the stiff person.
