Canada withdraws many grocery products from the markets

The Canadian Food Inspection Agency (CFIA) has recalled several grocery products sold across Canada.

The CFIA has recalled food products due to serious health and safety risks to Canadian consumers, including contamination with Listeria and Salmonella, the presence of foreign materials, and undeclared ingredients, among others.

The federal health agency urges Canadian consumers to check if they have any of the affected food products, and if so, it is best to dispose of them immediately or return them to their point of purchase
.

The ongoing CFIA recall includes foods such as salad ingredients, many brands of eggs, milk, frozen pizza, frozen burgers, and various meat and cheese products.

CFIA said: "The affected products are being recalled from the market due to possible contamination with Listeria," and the recall was initially launched in the United States linked to an investigation into a Listeria outbreak associated with processed dairy products.
