A batch of both Pharmasave eye drops and Advanced Complements eye drops is being recalled due to a packaging error.
The Canadian Ministry of Health says some bottles may contain ingredients not listed on the label. The agency says the affected bottles may contain unauthorized Naphazoline HCl or glycerin, which can cause an allergic reaction, including rash, itching, or swelling, especially of the face, tongue, and throat.
The recalled bottles may be labeled with batch number AR21C03 or RL21D01. The products distributed by Teva Canada Ltd are used for the temporary relief of redness caused by minor eye irritation, burning, and dryness, and are classified for use by adults and children aged six years and older.
The Canadian Ministry of Health says the recall was made following a complaint related to Pharmasave eye drops.
